CEL is on for codes 22 and 9.
I know 22 is for the vtec pressure switch, but how can i eleminate the code and resolve the problem. can i buy a another vtec solenoid and will it fix it??

also its causing my car to eat alot of oil...when the car crosses over into vtec smokes like crazy. And not like normal.

I am going to do an oil change this week and see if it helps alleviate the problem a little bit.

any suggestions? and does code 9 affect this at all..

 

I had the same code and now my vtec will not even kick over. and i priced out a new OEM solenoid yeah not cheap. :-(

 

its really just confusing me... Vtec engages fine, smokes alot...if i drive the car real easy for a while, then drive it a big to engage vtec starts smokin again.....I heard it could be electrical, like a ground, but everything is fine.
