Desperately in Need of help!!!!
So I am having a major problem with my car, the car is a 1995 Acura Integra with a B20b. The first problem that I was having was the car would idle then the shut of which happened only a once in a while. Now as of two days ago the car will start then shut off when it get's hot. So I checked the distributor module, which is good and the coil seems to work to my knowledge. Now the car has spark I checked the spark plugs and the wires and it's all getting spark from the distributor. When the car starts it runs for a minuet or two then shuts off, when you turn it back on it seem like its out of timing. The distributor that I had on the car is an OBD1 LS distributor and the other one that I got is from a 2000 Acura Integra. One thing that I did notice was that the blue wire on the (2000) distributor is in a different location from the old one. Another question is that i have an LS computer, would this create an issue because before the car shuts off the check engine light comes on. Im wondering if this could be the problem. I'm pretty lost and if anyone has herd of something like this I could really use the help.
the 00 distributor should have 1 large plug whereas the 95 should be 2 plugs.
difficult to check for spark if the car starts fine after it dies. ie problem isn't occurring when checking spark.
i know everyone's going to throw up main relay or ignitor.
but check the codes. they will send you in the right direction

I dont have a check engine light on until the car is about to shut off. Now i put the module from the old dizzy in the new distributor and it seems to get spark. The car still starts up then shuts right off as if you were turning it off with the key. So i noticed that the peach wire and blue wire needed to be switch so i did that and the car ran fine last night for about two hours. This morning it turned on then when it heated up shut right off again. So now i am totally lost and i think it might be a short thats causing it to shut off, a ground or the dizzy going bad again? Any suggestions?
a code can be stored regardless of whether the light is on.
when the car shuts off, do the lights on the gauge cluster IMMEDIATELY go out as well?
check that. if they do, it's likely the ignition switch

I think I am starting to see a pattern here, seems to me that cars with swaps, especially ones with "mixed" or "interfaced" OBDs have the most problems, go figure.
However, basic troubleshooting 101, why is engine not running?
It has to be because it has no spark, no fuel, no compression or timing is off, or a combination of them.
I would want to know what fuel pressure is, when engine stalls.
I would want to know if injectors are pulsing when engine stalls.
I would want to know if the injectors are pulsing in the correct order when engine stalls.
I would want to know if there is spark when engine stalls, and how good that spark was.
Timing and compression can pretty much be eliminated as engine will start, I would still check them, if no results from the above.
It's a 16 year old car, the ign. switch is a possibility, they do get progressively worse.
Back to basic troubleshooting 101, already mentioned, are there stored trouble codes? 94
