oil pressure sending unit won't fit on my block thanks to Golden Eagle!!
I have an LSvtec, which is using the Golden Eagle sandwhich plate on the back of the block to feed oil to the head. I also have an Autometer electrical oil pressure gauge installed in my car, but I can't seem to get the sending unit for the gauge to thread back into my engine because of the sandwhich plate being in the way, and/or the sending unit being too large that it overlaps with the sandwhich plate.
Now, I would really like to get this sending unit put back in so I can carefully watch my oil pressure at all times, but I'm not sure how to do it. I also used to have a brass T-fitting in the block, but it seemed to be too weak as it broke off in the back of my engine a long time ago, so I don't want to go through that situation again
I guess, my question is, how or where can I re-install the aftermarket oil pressure sending unit back into my LSVTEC, when there's the Golden Eagle sandwhich plate in the way?

are you wanting to use the original switch for the light, plus the sender for the electric gauge? the original sender threads are 1/8 BSPT not 1/8 npt, you can screw up the threads trying to screw into the original sender, you need an adapter to hook up the original switch to a T, I have a bunch of -4 hoses with firebraid, and a ton of adapters, PM me, I'll send you one with a couple of fittings to hook to the golden eagle plate and to convert the far end of the hose back to NPT, just cover the postage
Well, the original switch for the light won't really be neccesary once I have the gauge to monitor the actual numbers because supposedly the light turns on once the pressure is ~5psi or lower, which is WAY too low to be running anyways.
Plus, when you move the sending unit so far away from the block, doesn't that mean the motor requires even longer to build oil pressure? I just worry about the bearings and whatnot getting possibly damaged when the motor is turning but hasn't quite built full oil pressure on initial start ups

Ahhh, okay, that makes sense. Just so long as it doesnt really take any extra time to build pressure.
I figured out what i need to get too lol

I remote mounted mine to the firewall i the original oil pressure sender location also being mounted directly to the block many cause other issue such as vibration or heat killing the sending unit. I use the GE adapter to feed my turbo and head.
