Default just bought a 1998 LS Teg....looking for feed back.

So found a 1998 LS Integra Sedan with 148,xxx miles. For one I am fairly mech inclined, I am an electrician I work with tools everyday. I already changed the oil(was dark brown almost black), changed the oil filter(t'was a bitch to get to, went ahead and installed a K&N oil filter). Changed the spark plugs to NGK's as the wires to blue NGK. Got an alinement(sp?), 4 new Kumho Ecsta AST's on civic si rims. All electrical items work, sunroof and all. Black leather seats, interior was kept up for being an '98 to have all seat with no rips or tears is good imo. The car's engine is fine I guess, no knocks, no strange noise, or smells, it is an auto tranny tho it was also lowered some, how I duno but its lowered.

Now the bads.
1. Its auto, but I plan on doing a conversion cash permitting.
2. On the freeway going about 60+ when I hit a bump/hump it kinda waves from back left to front right. Shocks/struts maybe?
3. It was primered when I bought it. No biggie just need to get it painted. Was debadged also need to replace them.
4. Front and read bumper looks like they wernt installed properly? It jus looks a lil off not much but noticible to me(ima virgo, I'm **** lol)
5. Odometer doesn't read the miles right, I mean it registers miles buti know ill go 10miles but won't read it for like 5-6 weird to say the least.

Other than all that I think I have a fairly decent DD, got it for 2500 when he asked for 3200...when I test drove it I just picked off the bads and showed him I had 2500 cash in hand. Lol he agreed. I plan on fixing more like the suspension, and general items, paint job and what not. But I do plan on going all motor LS build with the option for turbo. No ls/v in my future
So let the feedbck begin, good and bad!

No pics yet soon after I had bought it and done the tune up, myson decided to come. She was preggo, and popped wensday I will post some pics later. I also forgot to mention. The transmission kinda jerks...only when it hasn't warmed up. But once i get her warmed up no jerks? But its also Texas legal tint all around, cold ac/hot heater. He did install a ram air intake. Brakes are still stock/original....that's being changed within a week or so(by me of course). The trunk has no cover over the spare, I will need to get that replaced soon also. I have kids and a girlfriend so that means she will be getting groceries, and will want to place them back there lol. He told me that this teg was a special edition, hense the black leathr seats, sunroof, and dark blue color in the door jabs. Was he bs'ing me to get the sale or what??

Read the first part and thought I would find pictures of the new baby. Haha

It doesnt look all that bad, a paint job would make a world of difference. Good luck with it.

Yea i wanna go with white, and leave the rims as is. Last weekend went to the country riding on a few miles of dirt/gravel roads and this code pops P1457. Went to AutoZone and had em read me the code. EVAP system was the issue, found online where it was at. Took out the battery, and inspected the canister, hoses and what not. All looked well and non corroded, so pulling the battery out cleared the code. Rode about 50 miles since then and it hasnt popped up yet, figured riding on them back rodes popped the code LOL.

As i said in my earlier posts the back and front bumper seems a little off.

Back bumper

Front bumper

Other than this stuff, i am very happy with this car, bought some headlight restoration stuff today at wally world. Lights were foggy as all get out! They are very clear now and seems to project the HIDS better now :D but i think he kinda jerry rigged the lights They seems to go more towards the left and not centered. I plan on taking the bumper off soon and see if i can get it aligned better, as you can see from the pics its just off. While i have the bumper off i plan on taking the headlight housing completely off and will clean the insides and straighten them up a bit. I have alot ahead of me with this car, but lately i have been bored outta my mind. So i see this as a project that will keep me busy as well learn a few thangs or two. Going replace the AC console with levers are hard as hell sliding the heat/cool levers, i might break it cuz its so hard. Going replace the inside driver panel, since the window buttons are jacked. Or just replace the window button console.

The sad face was because money is tight atm, riding around with a check engine light on is goin drive me mad til ifix it. Currently looking more into the P1457 code, so either the canister is bad or the valve.
