Default midwing

so im being offered a midwing for my EF and i was wondering if anybodies knows how to spot a fake. i took a look at it today and it looks like a jdm midwing, but i want to know some real facts before i purchase.

The real OEM midwing was made out of soft foam, has a spot for the emblem also in the corners.





Wings West mid wing looks the same but no spots in the corners for the emblems. Also it is made out of fiberglass.




Positives and negatives to both. Foam will crack and fall apart in time. However it has no weight. Fiberglass one has some weight to it.

He one im being offered has no place for emblems its just a wing, but its like hard plastic... Any thoughts on that ? Im definately contemplating hes only asking 30 bucks

30 bucks you cant go wrong. Personally I prefer the non OEM, Foam just is begging to cause problems down the road. my 2 cents

i agree if the foam is anything like the foam VW uses to make their wings.

a friend of mine went to push his GTI one time grabbed the wing and it broke off in his hand... foam wings FTL

Push down on it to hard and it and the paint will crack all over it also

Hmmm i already came to the conclusion that im not gonna buy it but now im thinkin about it again... Its just IMO i hate it when i dont know what brand im buying. Hmmm i guess im gonna go ponder some more

Hey I just get a good deal on one looks oem.. Has a spot for the Honda emblem..
