Best fit for eg hatch 92 ? help
7's fit nice 8 u will have a more stagger look and your suspension really plays a key roll in it too if your gonna slam it and you want 8 you can do it but be ready to wear them tires out. 15x7 or 15x7.5 have a nice fit stock or if you got a decent set-up.
Wheel width should not be the first factor you're looking at when purchasing a set of wheels for your car. Wheel width also has little relevance to tire wear (that is, unless you're purchasing wheels that are too wide and thus unsafe for your car).
Start off with picking out a properly sized tire. Make sure to consider factors like the type of driving the car will be experiencing and what weather the tires will be used in. Then move on to picking a wheel that will fit your car safely and be safe for mounting your choice tires.

It has a ton of information regarding proper tire sizing and wheel fitment.

Well i have skunk2 full coil over and front and back camber on a 92 si. when i bought my car it came with 205/50/15 and the wear is nice and even 7.5 but would it be safe to get the 8? . Is that a good size for the 205?
i run 15x 6.5. i have 195 50 15 tires on them and they ride awesome. i like the look also. i have coil overs on also. here a look so you have an idea.

IMO 7" is the maximum width to run on our cars. there is no point in running anything wider on the street. its going to cause more fitment issues and add no real performance gains. also 195/50/15 is the proper tire size for EG's
i agree 195-50-15 is the best size to run. it leaves you with so many options for modification to suspension. you can tuck the wheels with this fitment if you want. it all just depends on how low you want to go. with going that low you also have to deal with camber adjustments also. so keep that in mind.
