Default Is there a quicker rack avaliable?

I know the ITR / Integra racks are 2.98 LTL and 16.1:1, is this anything out there (OEM or aftermarket) that is quicker? Without the use of a quickner welded in. I know that EP3 / RSX / S2000 racks are more in the 13-15:1 range and closer to 2.5 LTL.

I thought that was a mis-print?

According to part #'s,

The 00-01 Integra LS/GS/GS-R/Type-R is: 53601-ST7-A63

The 98-99 Integra LS/RS/GS/GS-R/Type-R(98) is: 53601-ST7-A62

And 94-97 ALL is: 53601-ST7-A61

This is of course not including the reman part #: 06536-ST7-515RM

Which applies to all 98-01 Integras.

In other words, the only difference I could possibly see is between the 94-97 and 98-01 racks. Make sense?

The ITR definitely would be nicer with a quicker steering rack. Doesn't quaife make a gear or something? I wish the steering in my ITR felt like the steering in my AP1. IIRC, it's like 2.25 LTL in my AP1. I haven't driven either car since like November/December ....err...except the time I drove back home from storage in my ITR. Open garage spots FTW.

as far as i know the quaife quick ratio pinon, is for manual rack. there is a way to modify it, by using the manual, and power pinon gear, so that it works for non power.

The school-bus like steering wheel on the ITR definitely doesn't help, especially compared to the smaller S2K wheel.

Why not try replacing the OEM wheel first to see if that helps?

I've already got a smaller steering wheel, I'm doing a rack overhaul so I just wanted to make sure that while I'm in there that I'm not missing an upgrade opportunity.

The ITR is 16.1 and 2.98 LTL
The S2000 has 13.9 and 2.4 LTL
The Prelude (SH) has 15.6 and 2.76 LTL
The EP3 (04-05) has 15.1 and 2.84 LTL

All of quiafe's racks are for manual only and it doesn't look like any of the better OEM ratio racks are compatible with the ITR rack (it wouldn't fit)?

They're all the same.

So I guess there's no better option for the Integra rack?
