2001 Accord coupe ex paint question
Hey guys, new user here. I bought a 2001 accord not to long ago. Here is a pic:

As you can see it has a bra on it, the guy I bought it from hit a boulder. Instead of getting it fixed he put a bra on it.... for a long time. So naturally the paint tinted brown, I tried cleaning it before I got the dent fixed and repainted. So I accepted ill have to get the whole bumper repainted as well. Also the bra covers part of the hood and fenders, which are also stained. Just wondering what the cost might look like. I tried researching it but I saw stuff from $500-1k
Also if you noticed how the back bumper is a little "off set", how much would it cost to get that to line up?'
Srry if this all seems kind of noobish. Im 19 just starting out and not knowing a lot about cars. Just hoping for some help, thanks guys

Back bumper might be something as simple as buying a new clip to hold it in place.
The price really depends on where you take it. My opinion is that it would probably be best to repaint the front end, but if you don't you rely on the painter matching and blending the paint so that you cannot see the difference. Best thing to do is just get a quote from a shop. If it is a whole lot, just claim it on your insurance and pay the deductible if it is cheaper.

Get the whole car painted. While they can match colour, 10 year old paint is 10 year old paint and a year or two after a paint job, if you just do the front you will notice the difference and it will get progressively more pronounced with time.
In other words, the new paint will not age like the original older paint. Been there done that.

i would definitely not repaint the entire car if i were you. There is nothing like ur original paint job, and unless you are willing to 4K for a quality paint job (seals pulled, windows removed, bumpers removed, jams sprayed, etc..) than you will not be satisfied because the paint will end up peeling in a few years. Been there done that. Find a professional detailer, not the $99 special on Craigslist, Im talking a professional detailer who specializes in paint restoration. You are going to have to spend some money, but most likely they will be able to restore your paint, including the "stained hood and fenders." Don't know where you are located but here is a detailer that I have had nothing but great experiences with and who is a true connoisseur www.innovativedetailing.com does phenomenal work
