Key cylinder swap - Ignition and Doors - ef to eg
So I'm about to buy another 92-95 hatch with an ls/vtec and some bbs mesh wheels...Hell of a deal i couldn't pass up.
Problem:
This is an abandoned project where they took the door locks out to paint the car, placed them in a box, and since have failed to remember where they placed the locks.
Question/Solution:
Would the key cylinders for the ignition and locks from a 90 hatchback transfer over to the 94 hatch. So that I can have matching keys for one car. I have a 90 civic std that Im selling to my friend for $200, because he only needs it for parts and he said i could keep the locks. Just wasn't sure if they were interchangeable between years.

I think you could have tried it by now seeing as you have all the parts. Otherwise just buy a new set so your keys will match.
I don't have the other car in my ownership yet and i highly doubt the other guy is gonna let me sit and disassemble the door to figure it out, also its a bargaining piece, no locks in car= cheaper buying price. I'm just trying to figure it out before hand to save me some money.
It also not so much about the Ignition, more about the locks for the doors and hatch to transfer over. I don't mind using 1 key for ignition and 1 for doors, but everybody knows how we American's love convenience...so yea.
