How much horsepower can stock lines support?

I've made 450 on stock lines before so I don't know what the limit would be. I would guess somwhere around 500-550whp.

feed should be bigger than return. -8an feed and -6an return should be nice and juicy with plenty of happy fuel

Nobody is really answering Pauls question............Tony1 said they made 450hp on stock lines, some have said -8 would be good, but what will -6 support? It sounds like -6 should fine for 450hp.

-6 will go beyond 450. -8 is huge for a fuel line. I would guess that -6 will take you to at least 600 HP. On my buddy's Nova we ran hard 1/2" line (-8) from the pump to the engine bay and ran lines from a dist block there to his carb and fogger nozzles.

He was making about 500 WHP plus using a 150 shot.

Also, before I had asked why everybody was using 6 feed AND return. I used a 4 for a return and had no problems, but he was saying just to be safe you might want to run the same size return as the feed to make sure no pressure builds in the return line
