Default My b16a tranny pooped out a spring

I was replacing my passenger side axle and tranny gasket and this spring came out of the hole. Really nothing wrong with the transmission either but a small leak from that gasket, but I think its because its not pushed in all the way.

You need that spring because it's what makes the seal do it's job sealing.
Is the spring from your new seal or the old one?

The spring is part of the axle seal. It's tucked behind the lip of the seal facing inside the transmission. People tend to jack them up when installing axles. If the spring in your pic is from your new seal, you need to pop the seal out and go buy another one. The seal when properly installed should sit flush with the case of the transmission.
