2000 civic help 4k rev issue

Icon2 2000 civic help 4k rev issue

Car: 2000 civic
Engine harness: SI
motor: 1996 b18b1
Ecu: OBD2B si also have a obd2a ecu with jumper harness

well i had my motor wit obd2a ecu in my 97 civic with a single cam v tec harness. i crashed that ... so i bought the above listed car and pulled the swap out the old car. now that i have the car running it wont rev past 4k. i tried both ecus and still nothing. im running out of options. although the car does drive, hit me with your thoughts lol and suggestions? i need this car running top of the line. and 4k rev limiter is NOT helping thanks

Did you switch your tps and map sensor plugs around?

what ecu is in the car? how you even bothered to pull the codes since it obvious the ecu is in limp mode?

going to try that later today, i just got info on which sensor is which. the map sensor didnt reach to the tps soo i figured they were right, but im going to double check

right now i have a obd2b b16 ecu.. then i have a obd2a ls ecu with a jumper harness. both stop at 4k. as for the codes i have not pulled them based on the CEL is not on but then again someone said the bulb might be out so i have that to check soon to. i will be stopping by autozone to see if any codes come up thanks.

Just turn the key to the ON position. CEL should light up for a bit if it is not out.

very true that def dont come on then lol... must have burnt out in the crash and here i thought the swap was check engine free lol... dam well off to autozone i go hopefully if i have time between shifts. ill kepp u guys updated! thanks
