Jdm F22a swap into USDM F22a1 92 prelude help
I bought the f22a from tigerjapanese and it arrived yesterday. I planned on throwing it in my prelude because i bought it with a bad motor for cheap, But even though it bolts right up, the wiring seems to be backwards and none of accessories look the same..powersteering, a/c, etc. And also the engine harnesses do not look identical either. Ive looked it up a lot and know it can be done fairly easy, just figured all you guys would know a lot more than google. can ya help me out??
does anyone know where i can get a replacement crank pulley. They sell some on ebay and some honda websites but im not sure if thats only for usdm motors.
okay thanks to you ive gotten a lot done. swapped fuel rails, entire harness, a/c, power steering, but do i also need to change the distributor?? the harnesses aren't quite matching up but i wanna make sure it will run right with the other on it.

The f22a is going to have an internal coil distributor while your preludes is probably external. Just use your old distributor.
The f22a is the same exact block you had. You might need to change your egr valve over to the f22a since the connector might be different if you don't swap over the intake manifold but everything else should be the same. You don't need the f22a harness.

every connector is matching up except for one right by the connectors near the underhood fuse box. its seems like i have an extra. so thats one problem, but i think it was like that before i pulled the old motor. also, is there any reason to swap the throttle body? Is the wiring actually backwards on jdm motors since the colors are opposite or is it really just opposite colored wiring? i was jw about that

Obviously you got some kind of vacuum leak.
Assuming you got all your vacuums lines correct, you can put some water in a spray bottle and spray a gentle mist around your intake manifold until you find the leak while the car is running. You will find it when ur idle changes.

I figured out the vacuum leak. It runs perfect! there was a vacuum hose tucked down between the intake manifold that i didn't see at first. plugged it up and one other spot and it idles perfect. Drove it about 10 miles with no problems. now its ready for paint. thanks for all the help guys. ill post pics of the project if anyone is interested
well my plans have changed with the prelude, im now planning on keeping it and using the old motor to tune up for a nasty swap eventually. any body have any part recommendations? i know it will be some money but i want a solid build where boosting wont be a problem. I got ahold of a turbo manifold so im starting from here.

this is unrelated but how do i post pics??
Now my car wont shift out of park! ive been doing a lot of research and tried a few things but nothing has worked. My brake lights work, and it will start fine but it just wont shift out of park. The shift release is the only way but i have to put it in neutral and then start it but when i drove it, it was sluggish and i heard a clicking noise from under the dash, but it seemed like it came from outside the car. The car has been running fine besides the bad tps, which is now fixed. can anyone help please?
