You have the dizzy 180 out, the thingy that drives it is offset so if its backwards it will make it move around.

@crxguy it is bolted down hahaha
@ chorizo ya bro it has a rotor
@ turbostd what do you mean I have it 180 out I was checking it out and noticed the gear at the end of the shaft has some play to it I'm talking about the gear that connects the dizzy shaft to the crankshaft is that normal because it slides side to side and wiggles a little bit up and down

The dizzy and crankshaft are not near each other. Post pics because you're confusing lol but I'd bet on wiring. Plus code 4 crank position sensor. its not dizzy related that would be code nine. I assume you have an obd1 b series in you car? Or no

Look up code 4 and find out where that crank sensor is located and how to fix it. Sputtering/misfire s usually electrical or fuel related. All th wires on both dizzy plugs connected to the right wire? Like yellow to yellow and what not (just an example of colors said).

Is the b2 converted to mpfi and what dizzy and ecu are you using?

Check this page out and run through the flowchart. More than likely since it's happening with 2 different distributors and 2 different ECU's then it's a wiring issue itself. Hope this helps you out. Good luck.

I had this same issue with my car and it was a connection that goes into the ECU that was missing it's other wire. Took me around 5 months to figure it out.

Use the flow chart that I attached, it will tell you if the ECU is bad or what the issue is. Just so you don't go out and buy a new one and figure out a wire was in the wrong place or disconnected.

In my case my car was converted to OBD-1 so I converted my whole car back to OBD-0 to figure out what my issue was lol.

Usually a bad ecu or something wrong it would be a code zero where the red light will just stay lit and wont blink and wont go off.. But which knows at this point it check everything. Of if worst comes to worst take it to a reputable tuner shop nearby they will get you straight
