Even the cleanest cars have Flaws, post up those things that bother you about your car!!

 

-Paint is peeling on the side skirts
-Paint is peeling on the rear lip
-Radiator support is bent
-Dark green hood
-Rattle canned front bumper


But my car is no where near "cleanest".

crappy paintjob. crappy wheels. broken a/c. dim headlight. driver side window rattle. no rear defroster. passenger side floormat embroidering is pretty much gone. dirty bay. leaking cam seal. hole in my lower timing belt cover. my front driver side fender gap is higher than all the rest. my rear driver side wheel has stock wheel studs when the rest have extended studs. crappy lugnuts. trunk carpet never stays in place. dash lights are out. im sure theres a lot more, but thats all the stuff i can think of. most of it, people dont notice, but i guess since its my car it bothers me.

I found some pics of flaws! I think some people are accidentally buying trailer wheels and using them on vehicles? And to top it off, they're buying tire sizes that fit improperly, creating half the contact patch that they should be.

yea i agree on a good thread idea.

my flaws are rolled rear fenders that will most likely want to start rusting b/c of drips underneath from the new paint that chipped off treating that before they do so of course.

early styled side mirrors

gone through 3 shitty antennas

and a stock slow b18b

 

I procrastinate.

I don't work out as often as I used to.

My left knee has trouble in colder weather due to an "almost injury" a few years back.

Major tendinitis in my elbow.

Rotator cuff will need replacing by the time I'm 30.

 

Jwolfe car looks good, glad to see "Internet" perfect cars showing there flaws that not everybody gets to see in person, and see what people think about there own cars!!!

lol, ive had both rotator cuffs replaced and im 25 ... i completely understand all this!!

 

how long is the recovery for the rotator cuff surgery, cause my left arm pops out all the time, and Im sick of popping my humorus back in....lol seriously tho.... I cant stand waking up dislocated at 3 in the morning

 

My car has wavy doors, spidered paint on the bumper, crack in the body filler on the c pillar, crappy carpet, and no e-brake.

 

That's likely not an issue with your rotator cuff and more likely an issue with a tendon in your shoulder being disconnected.

My friend had the same problem with his shoulder popping out and he had that tendon repaired and his recovery was about 8 weeks. probably a bit longer for full recovery.

 

 

like EK said its about 8 weeks, tho that totally depends on you and the amount of rehab you do, and when your in physical therapy afterwards dont take offense when the little nurse makes you cry from pain

Primer fender, no lip, paint isn't perfect. Atleast it gets me from point A to point B :D

corner of front bumper cracked and isn't flush now. missing one of those black plastic caps on the cowl cover too!

Spiderweb cracks on my CF hood, front lip got ripped off, rear bumper is slightly burned from running so rich, usual dings and dents for a 15 year old car, I could go on and on. But I still love my car.

 

First the Civic:

Really hard to take a photo of this, but the nut on the inside of the frame that a bolt for the compensator arm bolts into. That fell off inside the frame. I'm using a rivnut right now and it's holding up, but the car isn't being driven right now anyway.

Rear bumper has some scuffs on it. It was a $50 replacement that spent some time in some guy's garage. I know every chip on the car by now as well. That happens though. Can't help it.

Wish the Spoon Sports muffler lined up with the notch in the rear lip better. Not sure why it hangs slightly to one side.

There's a very light "film" on the whole car that I think had something to do with the plastic sheeting they used to cover new cars with. Some upper panels, on very close inspection, seem to show evidence of bubbles in that film.

Windshield has a chip from a pickup that threw a rock dead center to my windshield.

Rear brakes are making continual contact (pad to rotor) right now, so the *** end is up in the air and I can't drive it until I get out there.

Now the Prelude:

Got backed into so there's quarter panel damage. The day before that happened someone rear ended it as well. Dubious, unknown damage under the rear bumper cover.

Power steering line leak. Longest, pain in the *** to replace power steering line in the world. It's leaking onto the header heat shield.

Passenger axle boot is ripped.

Currently using a '90 B21 airbox so the hood pops up a tiny bit in the front. Better than the SRI that was on it when I got the car.

Sounds like the b-pipe is squeaking against the chassis. Muffler element is falling apart, judging by the chatter. Header might have the familiar 2000rpm rattle.

A pop comes from the passenger side front end occasionally when I brake.

Distributor seal leaks. CPS seal leaks.

Temp sits just a tad under dead center, which I'm not used to Hondas doing, so I think it might not be getting all the way up to temp.

Driver moonroof drain tube needs to be cleaned out when I have a nice, dry day.

iPod interface tends to shake unplugged just a tiny bit so the music will skip on and off. Infuriating.

Windshield has some rock chips and a crack.

Vent on passenger door has a chip out of it.

Cluster bezel has a crack dead center (better than the one with no mounts that was in the car when I got it!).

Driver door sags a bit. I have replacement hinges but need to get them painted.

Whole car could use a repaint. It's lost it's deep color and luster.

Tiny bit of rust on the passenger rear quarter in front of the wheel well.

Utterly horrible gas mileage.

Can't complain too much for a free car. Mostly just with it hadn't gotten hit twice in two days before I got it!
