i have put a obd1 b16 sir into my obd2b ek3 saloon.

i have an obd2b type r engine loom and ecu is jdm pct.

the distributor and injectors were changed to obd2 and an obd1 alternator plug was soldered to the loom so i could use my obd1 alternator.

when i turn on the key the cel light stays on for a second and turns off for a second and turns back on constantly.

oil light is fine but my battery light is faint.

the fuel pump does not cut in and i am not getting spark.

i have checked all fuses and the thermostat earth.

i have tested another main relay and the same problem persists.

i have bridged connector 5 and 7 on the main relay and the fuel pump cuts in.

i have checked for voltage at the distributor and its getting 12v and i am getting 4.9v at map sensor.

i am out of ideas now, i suspect that the alternator is my problem since it is only getting a faint battery light.

any input would be greatly appreciated i have been trying to diagnose the problem for weeks and i have had no luck.
