Default mpfi conversion

so dumb question but ive got a friend with a mpfi swap that has a problem with it bogging at WOT and backfireing through the intake. all his wiring is legit, its in time, getting enough fuel n spark, hes running an a6 engine harness, intake and tb.....but a b6 ecu and dizzy......i think this may be his issue, am i right?

yes, all repinning for the injectors, for the dizzy tdc wires and for the tps were done correctly. The b6 ecu is set for an egr and the a6 clearly doesnt have one, thats why i thought that. It will also throw random codes at times....its hella weird.

crxguy- its the b2, it came in the dx hatchies

Tony- i think its the engine harness, cause ive swapped the pm6 and pm8 into it and it does the same thing. It will throw all sorts of random codes and ill clear them and they will be gone for a little while and then come back. the ones that get me are the BARO code and the EACV code. I know they are both plugged in and hooked up correctly, so i think honestly the harness is garbage.

So just to eliminate the possibility. today i rewired the engine harness. I rewired where my pins where and tomorrow im going to put the intake back in and what not and see what she does then. I know that the pins are set correctly. I spliced c1 and ran it to the dizz and c2. I ran b10 and b12 pins to the remaining wires that were c1 and c2. I ran a3 and a7 to inj #2 and #4. a6 intake mani, and pm6 ecu. I re-used my dpfi dizzy, modified the plugs (cannot find an a6 dizzy anywhere here!). Im going to look at my friends set up for the vaccuum diagram, Im also going to retime it again just to make sure its set to tdc when i go to start it this time. Any other suggestions on what i can or might do to make sure all areas are covered?

Well you didn't specify what car or motor so I just asked. And I would have just bought a modified dx harness to be like an si so its all plug and play. That's what I did. Got mine on eBay from montech who is on this forum as well.
