Thor (My new CRX Si project)
I purchased a '90 CRX Si just over a week ago and I'm crazy excited and happy with it. Learning a clutch is a little weird, but it's coming along smoothly enough. I got it for $1300 with 430k miles on the body, but the engine was swapped for a newer stock. (D16A6 I think. How can I check to be certain?) Since I've already been picking your brains unknowingly since I've gotten the car, I thought I'd put it up so you can see your posts hard at work.
Thanks gringo7718 for the thread on water leaks. I was leaking water from the hatch. Fixed it last night and it POURED rain today.

The engine runs strong, which is a huge relief. I can work on more performance, visual, and fun stuff. I want to get a little wide body action going on around the wheel wells so that when I put on wider tires it doesn't look ridiculous. Besides that and possible unassuming side skirts, I don't want to do a whole lot body wise. No need to mess up what's already been done well.

I replaced the driver side rear hub. The shielding for the bearings had rusted stuck so the bearings were exposed and making an absolutely terrible sound. It's now quiet. That D16 sounds SO good.

The interior is in pretty good shape. I did vacuum it out, but that carpet likes to hold onto things. =/
The floor mats are all custom and were put in before I bought it.
What you don't see are the rips and exposed metal in the driver's seat. Those will either be another set of OEM or changed out for new sooner or later. They serve their purpose for now. And they're really comfortable.

It's HKS exhaust, but the muffler looks rather rough. I'll swap that out sometime. You'll have to excuse me if I can't tell you diameters and exact specs on things. I only know what the guy told me.
On the exhaust front, I really like the HKS sound because it's quiet. I like the tips and piping, but is there a way I could get a new muffler only that would fit the pipes I have now?
Only real modifications are the exhaust, Tein springs and shocks I believe, lowered a bit, and a cold intake from Injen possibly? The intake is blue. I'll get more pictures later.
I'm working on a fairly tight budget since I like to eat and college isn't helping put money into the car. Thanks all and give me some feed back!

clean find although that exhaust does not look aftermarket AT ALL. i think its stock. i could be wrong but im just calling it as i see it. besides that its a really clean car as far as i can tell. keep us posted on it
Nice find, but I have a suggestion. Find and buy that missing door post pillar cover sometime soon. Those are discontinued and getting harder to find, whats out there is getting bought up quick. (I was missing both on mine.) Ugh!
EDIT: Turns out that is an HKS exhaust. The wear is just unbearable... =/
Junkyard?
The engine is much less worn, thank goodness.
I've spent the past two weekends and most afternoons on it already. Mainly just cleaning it up and replacing stuff.
Thanks guys, I'll get some new stuff up when the clouds roll off.

The vent controls for my heat aren't working. I really need defrosters. =/
I cleaned the resistor but that yielded me nothing. Any other ideas?
Engine pics soon. :D
