Default Exedy oe clutch or f1 stage 1?

Installing clutch on a d16y8 fully stock.
Car is used for daily driving.
Im in the fence about just getting a exedy oe replacemnt or a f1 stage clutch. Both I can get for under $100

Do you have one installed on your car? If so how many miles on it? Any slips? is the clutch pedal pretty good?

OEM exedy is better than F1 "STAGE 1" crap. their are certain parts that are name brands that you just pay for the name.. clutches are not one of those parts.. dont go cheap on such an
important part.

Threadjacking FTW: Are the F1 flywheels crap too?

I've been doing a lot of reading on the Exedy and everyone who runs them likes them. I haven't seen anyone who has an Exedy OE or Stage 1 who didn't like it. But then again I've only been looking at B-series stuff.

id say good choice. I have the stage 3 with the better pressure plate and a steel braided clutch line. Had it for over a year with a 300 WHP civic no problems at all so far

I been using F1 stage 2 clutch for about a year now on my stock 95 civic d16z6 and put approx 10 to 12k on it. It has a nice clamp sorce than stock for sure kinda jerky and not as comfortable "expected for aftermarket"

If you're just pushing 160 - 170hp it will hold up, but more than that the thing will slip like a ****. I just found that out today after pushing 14psi on my z6, although it was holding up upto 12psi with my tiny mazdaspeed turbo i just havent dyno it yet. It hit 13.8 @102 on 14" steelies 1/4 mile so im guessing 190 - 170 to the wheels? Also f1 clutch is really soft almost like stock in the pedal.

Personally I will consider getting F1 clutch again you cant beat the price, but i will get 6 puck next at the least for my set-up.
FOr $100 bucks get the Exedy Oe replacement, but if you're stepping it up and have a good amount of money saved up then go ahead and get Exedy or act, otherwise these ebay stuff works

It will work no doubt just get 6 puck is my opinion. Goodluck!
