Default Ebay Projectors are Great

Tried to fix my wife's cloudy headlights with the 3m kit, sufficed to say, they were so bad I sanded right through the headlight. So, did some research, lots of smack talk about cheap ebay projectors, I bought them anyways $70 shipped and all I have to say is the neigh sayers are wrong.

1) Glass everywhere: the lens cover is nice thick glass, the projector lenses are glass as well. Albeit one of the lenses was blue so I swapped it for the clear High beam lens. Nothing on my stock headlights is glass, it's all cheap plastic, thus, this is an upgrade to a better quality headlight, which will last longer than OEM.

2) Projector body is the exact same as your fancy TSX retro fit expensive ripoff. Body is metal, and fully adjustable, unlike some of the retro kits, thus much less work with better results than a retrofit. This misinformation about cutoffs is ridiculous, the cutoff is simply a piece of metal in the housing that blcoks the light, nothing special about it.

3) Lots of neigh say about the H3, but it puts out much more light than stock, I'll post pics once I find my cable. I'll order some $35 HIDs and see who knows what they're talking about with this "light scattering" mumbo jumbo.

Negs:

1) They were dirty on the inside, so I cleaned it when I opened it up to swap the lenses. Opening was easy, 5 min at 225 in the oven, no issues. Used a bungee cord to hold it together when putting it back together.

2) Angel Eyes ghetto-ness: I removed the LEDs and painted the rings flat black like the rest of the body, got pics of this too. This mod is so we can see on mountain roads in the dark, not be all Audi/BMW bling bling.

3) These don't look as nice as the JDM black housing, but they're cheaper and they're projectors, so I'll just live with the ugliness. Either way it's an upgrade from the 17 year old headlights that were on it.

4) Frame is plastic instead of metal, not gonna hold up to any forceful adjustments during install.

5) This B3 version comes with a blue filter on the Low Beam lens. I don't want my wife getting tickets for blue headlights, plus I think they're ghetto, so I swapped the high and low beam lenses, so she'll only get blue on high beam. If you get the B2 version, both lenses are seem to be clear.

Left to do:

1) Seal all the edges that I can't reach easily once it's installed with some silicon.
2) Install and aim: adjusters are nice on this one
3) Get em hot on a dry day, and seal the rest of the holes.

stock everything + 8000K HID + slightly angled up = amazing

its not as annoying as when other people do it since honda headlights are more considerate to other drivers whereas every single freakin jeep is blinding, even with old halogens

I would have stayed stock if I hadn't cracked them. Replacemejt stockers would have been more expensive. The point of this was to get good lighting as cheap as possible for a 17 year old car that we will be replacing in the next couple years.
