4th gen overhaul
i am replacing my carpet in my 4th gen prelude, i was thinkin i should just buy new carpet and put it over the old carpet since i dont have the money to spend on doin it "right".....i just need a quick fix for right now, and i am puttin racing seats in. how hard is it to get the seats out. if your guna post bullshit dont bother i came here for help not haters. any advice is welcomed thank you
I think you meant floor mats, for carpet you have to remove the seats, center console, and most of the interior panels. For floor mats you can use anything, just cut it to size. I have carpet remnants in mine right now (they were free). Any autoparts store has cut to fit mats while eBay, and local CL are good places to find OEM replacements.
Taking seats out is easy, just four bolts and a connector for the seatbelt (if you have one). You can use a deep socket or wrench (ratcheting wrenches are the best).

i actually want to replace the entire carpet cuz when i got the car the drivers side carpet was completely destroyed. i have vinyled the door panels and am in the process of puttin white leather in place of the door cloth. i cant seem to get the back panels off, if you know what i mean. the plastic in the back sides below the rear windows, i am changing the entire interior from blue to black and white. one more question how do i take the dashout???? and where do i buy new leds to change all the gauges to a diff color?? i cant seem to get the dash to come out. do i have to take the steering wheel off and everything??
Everything you need to take off to do led conversions for all the interior lights comes off in pieces, just google 5th gen prelude led conversion, there are a few good write ups out there that i have found and a lot of them give suggestions for where to find the LEDs. all though i know a lot of them recomend the phillips LEDs as they seem to be the highes quality out there for that purpose atm.

Just a tip to help your future survival: Other people have different opinions than you, and you might want to try to not freak out when someone says something you don't like.
You also have a little homo-phobia going on there, but that's certainly not the worst of your problems....

To the OP: Call the office in your state that licenses the inspectors and ask them. Like he said, it varys state to state. Technically airbags are required by the fed on new cars only.
