Default stock type r exhaust

Yo I was going to do a 2.5" straight piping with a test pipe, but I wanted to keep the stock type r muffler is this possible?? because I know the stock piping is 2.25 right?? whats going to give me the best power increase?? Thanks for your time.

Yeah, you kinda have to prove yourself to todd00 if you want to post here. It's not just you, he appears to screen everyone. Just go with it

Do you actually read the posts in this forum? It's about 50/50 if the people are asking about ITR parts on their eg/ef/dc2/whatever or if someone with an ITR is actually asking. It's sad, but true.

As for the OP's question...

You can run the OEM B-pipe and a staight pipe with the OEM axle-back and be fine. I had the bottleneck removed from the OEM B-pipe (if you look, it's obvious where that is at).

If you want to get 2.5" piping, then that's up to you. However, I'm not sure if it'll help power out all that much. If you can find someone to mandrel bend SS, I'd go with a 2.25" pipe all the back to the OEM ITR muffler. Up to you if you want to add a resonator or not. I have never heard a setup with no cat or resonator + the OEM ITR axle back. It shouldn't be too loud, though.

I've installed 2 1/2'' piping minus a resonator and cat in conjunction w/ a stock muffler before. Not too loud but super 'twangy' under acceleration. Not sure about the performance. I wouldn't think it's too much of an increase over stock simply because the exhaust is still exiting through a stock muffler.
