Icon2 Lambo Door Kit

Has anyone ever bought a kit off this website? http://lambodoordeals.com/honda/96-0...-door-kit.html
They are really cheap I just wanted to make sure they weren't complete junk or something before buying them.

they don't mention that the materials they use meet any kind of ISO standards, so i doubt that the quality is all that great...

on the other hand, lambo doors are so overrated, even lambos dont have them anymore.

Looks like they're clearing that stuff out of inventory. Details on the product are sketchy-no better than no-name eBay stuff. Quality seems dubious but if you've got the cash to take a chance then go for it. The adage "too good to be true" springs to mind. If you gotta have lambo doors then maybe try not to cheap out when you go that route. Respect your car.

Last time I looked at that stuff prices were pretty steep for what looked like quality kits.
Here's one site.

Good job in hooking your car up the way you want it to look. Too many cookie cutter low-rider Rota sporting JDM heaps being pushed as "the" way to hook up a Civic.

On a serious note.

You really are looking in the wrong place for advice on a car modification that died out a decade ago.

The lambo door thing was pretty short lived, mostly due to a flooded market with cheap dangerous kits.

A real lambo kit that functions well requires you to modify the door, and probably cost in the thousands of dollars for the proper pneumatics.

Doors are really heavy. Unless you have a Lamborghini and most of the car is carbon fiber.

I for one say its your car and you should do what you want to do with it...........But please, please dont put lambo doors on your civic. Its so cheasy and garbage. Everyone says keep it JDM, but forget that to because we arent in japan, but we also living in the days of the first fast and the furious eigther, where lambo doors, body kits, and custom trunks were cool.....lol. So again I say do what you want to do to your car, but in my opinion lambo doors and body kits are the most garbage thing you can do to a civic.

On another note, if you only payed $225 for the lambo kit, you better believe you are going to have trouble with it from the time you put it on till the time you say screw this and remove it. 225 is more than likely a single strut kit and those things suck. A descent lambo bolt on kit will start at about $1000 and some of those things still have problems.
