Default 3" muffler options?

Ok so I'm converting all of my exhaust components to 3" dia. .

Go-autoworks 3" downpipe to 3" test pipe into a Thermal 3" midpipe.

The axleback section, I will make myself because I bought the midpipe used and did not come with one.

What are my options as far as mufflers that are a)free flowing b)relatively affordable c)keeps a sane sound level (because the thermal midpipe is resonator-less)

Also, DOES ANYONE make a 3" axleback that would bolt on to my Thermal midpipe? I called and emailed them with no response

Thanks!

A company called Columbia River mandrel bending makes 3 inch DIY piping kits for 92-00 civic's. perhaps you can get a partial kit from them.

I suggest for a muffler this one: MagnaFlow 11219 Satin Stainless Steel 3" Oval Muffler. This muffler will sound very nice. As for noise levels, hopefully you have a good resonator on there. I went with a nice stainless steel Vibrant resonator. You could weld that on, or have it done; it would help a lot with the noise concerns.

Borla also makes a nice "turbo" 3" muffler.

I've contacted VRS exhaust and kteller. For the price of a partial kit, I can buy a whole kit for a small margin additional.

I'm trying to get an idea if it would be cheaper to piece this thing my self and weld it my self but so far it seems that bringing it to a muffler shop is the most logical and they use the same muffler (magnaflow) as if i were to DIY.

A few things to think about if you take it to a muffler shop it if they use mandrel bends or if they crush bend the piping. A ton of shops crush bend the piping, restricting the piping and making it smaller than the outside diameter of the pipe. Also, there's a lot of different magnaflow mufflers out there, make sure you know exactly which one you want on your car.

If you know the bends/lengths you need, http://www.mandrel-bends.com/catalog/ is the way to go.

BTW Columbia mandrel bends only charges $149 for their exhaust kit. I'm sure that's far cheaper than the other companies you contacted.

I wrote them an email.

This is all I need basically, i CAN buy the whole kit but I dont need the rest and I cant really sell it so I'd just be throwing away money.

This is the mid-pipe I have minus the nasty axleback

So if they can sell me the partial kit,all I have to do is cut it to the fitment I need, weld a flange, muffler, hangers and done
