Default Removing paint from hubcaps

Hi,

I have done a search. My hubcaps are spraypainted black(previous owner) and I want to return them to original silver.

Is there a way to do this without sanding or damaging the plastic? I have tried paint thinner and brake fluid.

Any suggestions? Or is my only option to repaint them silver somehow?

Since they've been painted, your really stuck with having to re-paint them. Removing paint from plastic, especially when the paint was applied with proper preparation, is near impossible without damaging the layers underneath.

Take it from me...DO NOT use any type of paint stripper. This will absolutely destroy any plastics. Sand with ascending grits to remove the top coats. Then I would spray with your choice of color and then do a coat of clear.
