Default manual tensioner

l did the manual tensioner swap. followed all guides for it. for one the manual pulley is larger then auto. doesnt say anything on about different size belt. l put mine on and was driving fine then the belt walked over and ripped but was still on. and its hard as crap to get timing belt on. did l do something wrong? or just something happened?

did you seat the tensioner on the peg bolted to the block?

h22 belt is correct, just takes a little more effort and maybe a little intuitive thinking.

the ONLY way the belt will slide off the gears is if the tensioner is not seated correctly. The rest of the gears/pulleys are set in place and cannot be moved.

hand tighten the tensioner on LOOSELY snug but enough for it to be able to move up and down. put the belt on counter clockwise starting from the crank. rotate the crank counter clockwise about 4 teeth and you'll see the belt start to tension. tighten the tensioner down and wala. the belts don't have to be on super tight but to loose and i'll walk off.
