ok so my ignition has been starting to act up lately and kind of gotta jiggle the key to get it started,well today it finally bit the big 1,it will crank no problem and if i give it gas while im cranking it then it will revv but shut off as soon as i let go of the key,i was thinking it was the ignition switch since i had the same issue on my impala,i was trying to bypass it and run a wire from the power side of my battery to the power of the dizzy,but not sure which wire is it so does anyone have a wiring diagram? thanks and hopefully i can find out to make sure its that vs something else

why screw around with this just replace the ignition switch and be done with it. ?

 

^^ was thinking the same thing, my odyssey shut down on me on the hwy one time because of the ignition switch. everyone in the car sh1tted bricks.

 

It's almost guaranteed to be a bad electrical contact assembly on the end of the ignition switch.

You're not going to get it running that way, you're just likely to mess up something important.

Instead of half-assing it with a bunch of hackjob wiring, just buy a new ignition switch contact assembly and replace it.

Part no. 35130-SX0-A01, list price is $65.20 from Honda but you can find it at several online parts dealers for $48 or less plus shipping.
