NEED NITROUS TUNING TIPS FOR BUILT L/S VTEC W/ GSR HEAD
HAVE BUILT B18B1 BOTTOM W/GSR HEAD, BLOCK GUARD, BLOCK GIRDLE, FORGED RODS, FORGED PISTONS, 310 INJECTORS, 72MM THROTTLE BODY,HIGH FLOW STAINLESS STEEL VALVES ( 1/2 MM OVER SIZED ) BLOX INTAKE, BLOX ADJUSTABLE CAM GEARS, 13LB. FLYWHEEL, SPEC STAGE 4 CLUTCH, PHANTOM GRIP LSD TRANS WITH 4.75 RATIO GEARING, HONDATA S300 P28 ECU, HEAD HAS BEEN PORTED AND POLISHED, STOCK INGITION AND STOCK FUEL PUMP. FIXING TO START TEST & TUNING FOR THIS YEAR AND HAVE NOS PRO RACE FOGGER SET UP WITH 120 HP SHOT, RUNNING VP C16 @ 117 OCTANE, NITROUS IS SET UP ON MICRO SWITCH FOR WIDE OPEN THROTTLE HAVE COLDER PLUGS JUST WONDERING HOW MUCH TIMING TO TAKE OUT AND ANY OTHER SAFETY ADVISE YOU ALL CAN THROW AT ME I'M AWARE OF THE DANGERS OF NITROUS AND HAVE PUT A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY IN THIS PROJECT TAKING ALL PRECAUTIONS AND TRIED TO BUILD AND PREPARE THIS MOTOR FOR NITROUS. JUST 200 HP ON MOTOR HOPING THIS SHOT OF NITROUS WILL BRING MOTOR TO LIFE AND HELP FLOW THIS HEAD. THIS SET-UP IS IN HULLED OUIT 89 CRX SI THANKS FOR ANY HELP !!!!!

I do not know how much help I can be, I run a 94 LS, stock innards, GSR transmission w/Phantom Grip LSD, CAI and 5Zigen 2.5" exhaust, [no cat] and a 75 shot, [dry], I use 101 octane gas and colder plugs when spraying, timing is retarded just a little, It has been working very well for the last 7 years of autocross, no problems whatsoever. 94

i'd take it to a shop with a dyno and tuning abilities, and let them tune it properly.

how much compression are you running? 120 shot is a lot of nitrous without being tuned for it ... even on race gas, I'd be nervous...

As mentioned, "take it to a shop" that much $$$, time and effort into the build, I would want someone who knows what he/she is doing, tuning it. 94
I'm at 12:1 compression and I asked my tuner about putting a bottle in. He said if I wasnt going to have it tuned, I could put a wet kit in (75 shot), retard the timing at the distributor by 4 degrees, and "hope for the best" but by no means was he recommending it.
OF COURSE, NOW YOU CAN EXPECT TO NOT GET ANYMORE HELP IN THIS THREAD. TAKE PICS WHEN YOU BLOW IT UP, YOU CAN HAVE A MUCH MORE SUCCESSFUL THREAD WHEN YOU HAVE DESTRUCTION TO SHARE
