Default ecu

can anyone tell me why my car wont start with a stock ecu. i had a chip ecu with s100 hondata but someone stole out of my car so i got a stock ecu for my car check engine come on right away and does not turn off i cant even get a code from it by the the ecu is p28 and i have b16 with basic bolt on nothing major

You sure it's the correct ECU? Why can't you pull the codes?

yeah i had a chipped p28 in it i used the paper clip and check engine light does not blink or anything it just stays on

The "stock P28" that you installed is most likely bad. That is a "solid check engine light".

That's exactly what I was thinking, Try another known good ecu.

did you know a p30 runs a b16 as it should?
a stock/unchipped p28 ecu is for a SOHC vtec.

try again.
