What size, material and shape is the o ring on the oil sump drain plug on a D16ZC motor? The service manual doesn't tell me anything except to replace it. Since its my only car I can't really take the plug out, have a look then go pick one up so I was wondering if anyone knows what I need. Local auto stores couldn't tell me as they don't catalogue this item.

sooo your changing your oil and want to know where to get a new washer for the drain plug on the oil pan? ive changed my oil many times and have never replaced that washer. not really a big deal if you dont, just put the bolt back in and tighten it. i bought a magnetic drain plug but never just the washer

 

Well I know where to get one, just not what size. I've heard 14mm and 17mm.

Just put it back in, mine has never leaked by re-using it. I get one at the honda dealership for free if I ask
