Passing NYS inspection...help!
hey guys i was wondering if you guys could help me out....
i have a 98 acura integra gsr that im building rite now...
im goin with a turbo setup and plan to tune with hondata
i was wondering if there was anyway to use hondata and still pas nys (new york state) inspection without swapping out ECUs at the garage
i was just on phearable.net and seen that i can get the hondata s300 program installed in an OBD2 ecu
so i guess im wondering if i do decide to go that route will i 1. pass nys inspection without swapping ECUs and 2. will i have the same tuning capabilities as i would in an OBD1 ECU
if this is a stupid question please bare with me im just getting into this whole tuning and passing inspection scene
THANKS!

Theres no ecu tuning options for OBD2 honda ecus. When I had my 98 civic I searched and searched and found nothing.
You can either use a piggy back controller like a VAFC, change your ecu around inspection time or find somebody that you can throw some extra money at to pass you.
phearable.net, says that you can use the Hondata s300 in a OBD2 96+ VEHICLE (not ecu) with a jumper harness.
This is one of the reasons I didnt boost my B18c gsr motor. I didnt want a piggy back system or change ecus. I hate NYS for doing the OBD2 inspections and I hate the OBD2 ecu for being so difficult.
