key way on d-series?
Recently my d15 has been making a weird vibration sound coming from the timing belt area, i believe its the key way connecting the flywheel to the crankshaft pulley came loose and came off which leaving all of my drive belts stationary when running. when running it only stays on for less than a minute then shuts down because its getting no power from the alternator. Theres also no burning smell from the belts and my tensioner is fine as well. check this vid out.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfrIWADgAGk
Woodruff key is probably smoked, belts are most likely keeping the pulley in place as
the crankshaft spins.
I hate to say it but the crank might be smoked too.
OR the Woodruff key wasn't there to begin with?
EDIT: BTW the Woodruff key fits into the keyway
the crankshaft spins.
