sometimes when i try and put my 00 Si in reverse it doesnt want to engage and i have to put it in first gear , let out of the clutch a bit and then back in and then it will let me go into reverse with no issues. It doesnt do it all the time so its weired. Wonder if anyone has had similar issues or maybe i need a tranny fluid change. Any help would be great

 

When did you last replace the transmission fluid?

 

ive had the car for over a year and i have never replaced the fluid. There is 160k on it so im sure its way way past due. Not sure if the previous owner changed it or not.

I am thinking about putting some Amsoil tranny fluid in there since my step dad is a Amsoil rep
