My E-brake feels like it still engages
I drive a ej8 y8 5 speed
every time i use the ebrake then release it. It feels like it still engages i could hear my rear drums squeak and feel the car slowing down not in gear with out hitting brakes and doesn't roll back on hill when taking off in first when driving.
But when i keep driving for like couple miles it goes away ebrake is not engage any more just feels like normal driving.
Could that be my Ebrake cable weather seal rusted up?

Jack up the rear of the car and, with the e-brake disengaged, try turning the rear wheels. Something could definitely be sticking somewhere or you may just need to adjust the tension in the e-brake cable.
With the rear wheels off the ground try turning the wheels by hand and have a friend pull up on the e-brake. It should start to drag slightly after one click.

You will need to remove the shoes to ensure the parking lever on the trailing brake shoe is not binding, and that the cable is not binding on the sheath.
With the shoes removed from the car, pull on the parking brake about 1/2 of its full travel. Then release. Pull on the parking cable on each rear wheel, if one requires a significant effort to move, replace that cable and recheck.
If both cables are tough, remove the parking brake housing/center console and inspect the linkage to the equalizer for binding.
