I have a 1990 Crx with the original engine and i just replaced the tranny. I can't figure out how the speedo cable goes back in to the sensor. I can get it in part way and it will get the speedometer to show speed. Its definitely not in all the way and i can't figure out how the clip goes back on. Please help.

 

its simple it just slides in and i believe it just has a little clip to hold it down

 

yup push it in all the way and put the saftey on lol

 

wow...its easy man. slide the cable into the speedo gear. place the clip into the groove. you may have to wiggle the cable to get the clip to snap it all the way.

 

Thanks guys. Something must be broken because it will not go in all the way no matter how much wiggling i do.

 

with the engine off, put the car in gear (1st gear). have another person rock the car back and forth while you push on the cable. the notch on the cable might be off alingment with the notch in the tranny.

this happens all the time. i had to do it with my car and i had no help. it would have been easier tho.
