Default Defi Gearbox Oil Temp Sender.

Hows it going. Looking for a bit of advice. Searched but couldnt find. I recently purchased 3 Defi gauges. Two oil temperatures and one oil pressure. Have the oil pressure and oil temperature fitted to the sandwich plate and all working but the second oil temperature is my problem.
You see i want to use it to read the temperature of the gearbox oil. Has anyone ever done this? I have a s4c S.i.R box in my civic.
Would it be advisable to make an adaptor for the sensor to fit into the gear oil drain plug ????
Or would it be better to take out the box and drill and tap the actual gearbox housing.??
Any help appreciated lads.

hmm never heard of anybody using it as a trans temp gauge. usually people would use the second temp gauge for engine coolant temp.

if you decide to adapter the drain plug, the thread is m14 x 1.5 and i assume your gauge sender is 1/8"npt. might be tough to find
