When I first bought my dx hatch (d16y7) I put a ebay fart can on it thinking the loudness would be sweet and it was for a bit but it's annoying now. I want to replace it but want an upgrade from stock.
I'm looking for either a decent muffler or a full exhaust kit that will add some power (I know it'll never be a lot) and sound nice, but not the raspy loud that can be heard from a mile away.
I know this type of question is asked often but I always see apexi and spoon mufflers which are pricey suggested.
Any suggestions appreciated!

 

You should search. Really. This question was asked 3 times last week alone.

My advice is to go to Youtube and do a search for quiet Civic exhaust so you can hear for yourself.

As for power? Probably next to none.

 

I would suggest either an Apex'I World Sport or a RS-R cat-back. Both are very quiet with a nice tone.

build your own from VRS and get a resonator of whatever length you want. longer= more sound supression. and vibrant muffler. done.

whatever you get make sure its an oval and not a coffee can.

 

i've been debating on getting the ws2 for a while, now i see it's popular.
