Icon2 d15b real quick question. in a 93 dx hatch

alright so i have a 93 honda civic hatch back.. buyed it motor was blown.. put new motor from h motors online.. d15b in it..... i also order a p08 for it too.... now i have done some reading up on the swap but still unsure about a couple of things.... when motor first started it ran like crap then ran ok and then.. started to back fire out the intake... .. then all sudden died... now i have no spark i found a hair line crack in my dis. cap... but on fuel side things are good, rand new fuel pump and filter... the motor is suppose to be gurate to start.. but can distribor or coil just go out just like out of no where?... or is it because i have read some that the p08 need to be chip for the map sensor... and when u do do a swap in a dx do u use the old map senor on the bulk head by fuel filter or use the new on the intake manifold, off throttle body???. every thing has just gone wrong with this car. sucks... if anyone has some advice would greatly appreciate it. also the dis and cap and coil is from the used motor so i think im gonna just buy all new stuff for it... also a when u put the d15b in a dx. u just need to wire up vtec n thats it correct nothing elsa with dizzy or anything... ? thanks

if your car comes with a firewall map sensor, then you gotta use that one, and swap your original throttle body over to match it.

Unplug the connector from the firewall MAP sensor and plug it into the new throttle body MAP sensor.

Any CEL codes thrown?

and thats it.. car should run good... im not sure but i read a lil bit that the p08 need to be chip to read the map senor..i may be wrong..ill do that.. but right when i put new fuel pump in and stuff. car run for a min like poo though i think it has bad gas in it too. not sure but think car sat for long time before i buyed it.. after it ran for min all sudden coil went out.. sucks not getting spark.. found a hair line crank in cap too. so i swapped out caps cause i had a extra one but still no spark.

Code 21 is not causing the current problem. Focus on the distributor and the potentially bad gas in the tank.
