hi all ,

newbie here , i have an engine management light come on the dash , the guy i bought car off said he had to look at the baro pressure sensor or something and fixed it before i got it, but this error has popped up this morning ,


i have had the map sensor changed over as it had a slight coating of oil on it ,drove the car on friday night and all was well , when i went out yesterday morning the engine management light was back on again , i took out the MAP sensor to check it and it had a little oil on it again , is this normal ??

i also removed the large black rubber tube going inot the intake the sensor was attached to and the is a little coating of oil in there this might be noraml but im unsure.....?

its going into the dealers tomorrow to be scanned and hopfully tell whats wrong.... im just hoping its nothing to big !!!!

any ideas what else i could check ?

 

Are you using a K&N filter or a paper filter?

Clean the sensor with this:

i had a look at the filter in the airbox and its a green paper filter , not to sure if its a honda or not doesnt have anything on it , didnt remove it from the casing just popped the clips to check ....
