98 civic ex 3rd gear grinding

98 civic ex 3rd gear grinding
I have an 1998 Honda civic and everytime I go to 3rd gear it grinds, my question is, is it a big deal if it grinds? And if it is, what can I do to not make it grind? Thanks!

Change/check trans fluid if that doesn't help start looking into having someone rebuild/replace the trans (synchro's) or you can go the more short term/cheaper route and start finding a used trans here or in a junk yard.
