As a big fan of the Magna I've discovered the best way to improve the looks is to trade it in for a Vmax.
Seriously though I don't think there is much one can do to "Beef up" the Magna in terms of looks, it's a take it or leave it kind of design. You can however dress it up with some nice paint, and chrome out some of the bits along with the pipes to give it a nice clean look.

I had a V30 as my first bike. Enjoy it as it is, or get the V65 and enjoy the gobs of torquey and sleeper look.
Someone by where I live had a v45 painted entirely in flat black, complete with Harley badges. I need to find the pics...

I have an 84 and I always get Harley riders coming up to me at every rally asking questions about my bike. They all love it and so do I. I've added leather saddle bags that go across under the seat. I've also added a nice leather 'trunk' on the small luggage rack. For that matter, I replaced the small, useless luggage rack with a larger one. I've also changed the handle bars with some taller ones. I love this bike and it looks good.
