b16 jdm tranny with factory lsd?
I have a factory b16 tranny w lsd im producing about 450hp.boosted.at the time im runnin 10psi of boost
launching at 6500 and a 60ft of 1.71.im trappin about 115-117 bout 8700 rpm.if I add more boost say 10 psi more would this tranny have enough gear or would I run outta gear.by the way I run 24.5. I tried the tranny calculaters on line but still alittle confused.any inputs appreciated. Thanks limiter set at 9000.the 450 was on the dyno at 15psi.

we cant help you if we dont know where your limiter is set, 117 at 8700 sounds low are you sure thats not a JDM ITR gearset/FD? if you only trapping 117 with 450hp something is wrong IMO, sounds more like 300-350hp. I went almost 130 on street tires in my DC with 450hp.

I would think you would know 300rpm isnt going to get you far....
Either way 117mph is no where near 450hp unless you have a 3000lb car or one insanely inaccurate dyno

Car weight. Is 2700.is this tranny capable. Of 120mph range.the reason I ask is cause someone told me the trans would limit me the mph cause of the short ratio.I have all my slips from the track.im just curious. Just in case igot to buy a diffrent tranny.im just gonna try it and see where my flaw is goin to be I guess that would prolly be the best way to find out.thanks
pretty self explanitory, put you car in 4th gear at whatever rpm you want and read the mph, increase 300rpm and read that mph... that will be roughly the difference lol all the gear calculators I have used were pretty easy, try another one if you cant figure the one you are using out.
will it hit 120? prob, will it hit 130? no
that gearing has to be horrible for traction, I suggest a 4.40 FD or a GSR Trans or something else.
