Default OBD1 JRSC on OBD2?

I found a JRSC for an EG, and I have been in the market for a JRSC on my DD EK for a while. I was wondering what all would be required to make the JRSC work on my y7?

just an obd2 to obd1 ecu harness converter and an reprogrammable obd1 ecu.

What about plugs for sensors/injectors/etc on the SC since it replaces the intake manifold? Would I just need to nab an engine harness from the junk yard and cut/splice the connectors onto my harness?

use your harness in the car most the sensors have the same plugs. use the air temp sensor from ur obd2 harness.(obd1 air temp sensor usally screws on intake manifold u may have to plug it which wont be hard) if u have to upgrade injectors on something u may have to splice injector clips on. other then that just a jumper harness to run a chipped p06 ecu to tune on.

be careful boosting that y7. might make those #2 pencil rods snap.

as long as hes not pushing over 180hp he should be fine on a good tune. belt driven superchargers put more stress on the internal components then a turbo would. the y7 is like its big brother y8 infamous for spinning rod bearings.

I rebuilt the motor fresh less than 5000mi ago. All new bearings, rings, etc. So hopefully it can handle the 6psi pulley on a good tune.

I may just do a vitara build for it.

I've had 3 boosted y7's, this would be my first supercharged. My last one blew up because I tried to learn how to tune with it (ya, next time i'm paying someone), the 2nd I only had for about a month before I sold the car, and the first I ran 12psi with an FMU for 35k before I sold the car and no issues. But those were all in my teen days, I plan on doing this right, as I need reliability.

IAT plug on EGs are different than EKs. You'll want to pick one up in order to monitor intake temps.

Fuel rail is different. I used OBD1 injectors which came on the rail when I bought the JRSC so I had to get OBD1 injector plugs.

I had cut one of the water hoses down a little to fit (the port that will be under the S pipe once installed)

Bang the strut tower wall in a little for pulley clearance.

The belt rubbed on my P/S return line, so I made a bracket to pull the return line away (P/S has since been removed)

Fuel delivery line to rail had to be bent to go over the S pipe.

Most everything had to be tweaked once I was done. I have had it installed for the past 1.5 years. Bored of the power it makes, but I am building a 11.5:1 block to see what happens. Oh yea, methanol injection is highly recommended to bring those temps down. Stock Y8 injectors (240cc I believe) were running at 95% duty cycle (7500rpms @ WOT - 7psi). I don't think stock Y7 injectors will work too well. I have RC 440s at this time, running at 60% duty cycle (7500rpms @ WOT - 7psi)

WOW, thank you! Thats is probably the best post I could've ever asked for!

I am not looking to make crazy power out of this, i'm just tired of it being so hard to pass people, or climbing mountain roads with my gutless y7. I just did a CR test on the motor to double check it, because it seemed "slow" for a d16 (thats saying a lot) but I guess the AC/PS/PW/PL/etc really kill the car, as the compression was 150psi across the board.
