Benefits of being stock
Hey guys wondering if you can give me your opinion on this. I own a relatively stock R. I purchased it a couple weeks ago from a fellow member on ITRCA.com. Great guy Thanks Ray! When I bought the car it already had Apexi N1 coilovers installed. Moderate drop, rides pretty smooth. No complaints, but going over lil pot holes and bumps really hurts. Car handles really well with the coilovers but I was wondering how it would feel with the stock suspension? I dont really care about how low or how high. I just want a nice handling ride and not worry about the lil pot hole i see. What do you guys think?

The apexi N1 coils are brutal compared to a KW V3 or spoon coilover. Consider switching to something that is a little less "tracky"... the apexi's are pretty rough for anything off the race track IMO.
Stock suspension is also a good option, thought I think you might find it "too soft" after having those apexi's on.
My vote, check into a set of KW V1, V2, or V3 depending on your budget. Spoon coils are great too but the price tag is nasty... but you are paying for proper R & D and OEM level quality... which is largely absent with aftermarket parts.

Stock suspension is awesome. I love driving my black R on stock suspension after I've been driving my white R on PIC's. Wheel fitment queers will tell you otherwise, but if you want a normal car that sort of feels like an acura then pick up a set of stock suspension and keep your coils kicking around for if you feel like tracking it.
Thanks for your input guys..Steez Og owner actually gave me the stock suspension along with the car
. I going to def. throw them back on. Guess I'll have something to do this weekend. The apexi suspension will most likely be up for sale.

for a factory set up, the stock suspension is great. not to mention, the nose is up high enough to clear pretty much everything... (except curbs for the front lip)

stock is soft, but, if you just street drive it's much more comfortable than what you're currently on. you could also buy stock itr springs and shocks from a jdm importer for roughly $150 and sell or keep you apexis
South Charlotte. itrsteez i think i pm'd about your car when i was in the market for one but never got a chance to meet up with you. then i found ray lol..but yeah CMP this weekend!? doubt i can make it this weekend..you need a membership right?
let me know when you post these up for sale!
I have no problem tracking OE springs these days (I don't use OE shocks though). They are perfectly fine on the track unless you are good enough to need more. I've been tracking for 10 years and have been through a few suspensions and while I miss my more hardcore setups at the track, I don't miss them much around town
And I can be more lazy not dealing with a second set of wheels for r comps, etc.But I only drive 8/10ths at most on track in street cars these days, anything above that the risk vs reward ratio goes to the risk side more.. and then I'd rather have a dedicated track car that I don't mind throwing away, or a race car that I don't mind throwing away.
Since you are in south Charlotte, there are a lot of good guys around you. I'm sure I'll see you at CMP sometime as well, I think in recent years I've been there more than Sebring despite the extra 8 hour drive to CMP, just to hang out with friends up there.
