Default 1990 Accord Air Intake Motor

If their are no vacume leaks could the air intake motor cause the vehicle to have and erratic idle.

Yes, a sticking or dirty idle air control valve (IACV) or fast idle thermo valve (FITV) will usually cause the idle to fluctuate from 800-1500 RPM cyclically.

A low engine coolant level or an air bubble stuck in the coolant lines to the IACV or FITV can also cause this problem.
