lug nuts loose? lol. had that happen to me once. also watched someone put on the wrong thead pitch lug nuts on his studs and tightened them down as much as he could. and it vibrated til studs snapped. doubt you have either of these. haha
if you have a wheel that's out of balance.
if you have a warped or bent wheel.
if your alignment keeps getting worse because you keep lowering it.

Check the rest of the things we mentioned and update us. No use guessing on what can be wrong, theres a hundread things that can cause a car to vibrate.
Simple way to check if your struts are blown. Push down on your car as if you hit a major bump. It should bounce back up, down again, and even out after that. If it bounces non-stop, shocks are blown, and its riding on the spring.
If you recently got new tires added, they could be out of balance, but you would only feel them vibrating at like 55mph+
Coilovers really make your car vibrate unless theyre installed wrong... which even then I dont see how they would make you vibrate to only 40mph.
Look for ripped axle boots, or axle grease splattered everywhere.
Rev your engine in neutral using the throttle body, and see if your engine rocks back and fourth violantly. It should stay very steady when when accelerated. if it moves you could possibly have a ripped, or torn motor mount. The engine/trans mounts should be self explanitory on looking at them... theyre right under your nose. Look for cracks, and tears.
Bent wheel would vibrate even worse at high speeds.
Alignment could POSSIBLY cause a vibration if it was bad enough... Even with my tires going from 70% tread to wires showing in 2 days due to a bad alignment, my car never vibrated once. Just pulled violantly to either side.
