Post Acura Integra Type-R CW Carbon Kevlar Hood

Here's the CW kevlar hood, this hood is a good fit and provides a functional cooling vent. I believe Jeff Owen "kiwi" has the same hood on his Type-R except in carbon fiber of course.

Acura Integra Carbon Kevlar Hoods.

Post Acura Integra Type-R Fiberglass CW Hood

No point in spending the extra money on a carbon fiber hood if you're going to paint it. The FRP Fiberglass is functional and only slightly heavier than the carbon fiber and carbon kevlar hoods.

Less ricey would be nice. Just a plain and simple oem style cf hood would be great. Not to may people make them anymore though.

I dig the vent. Do you use 1x1 CF and Kevlar weave?

It's a Shift Sports / C-west replica. The hood looks good, but the fitment on the red car is horrendous. Horrible fender gaps and horrible gaps above the headlight. I don't think it's wise to use that particular hood or car for any sort of marketing. I hope the actual product doesn't sit half an inch above the top of the fender. People don't buy this kind of stuff because it rarely fits like the real deal. Make a good quality copy that fits and you will sell some.

I agree. Prob one of the worst fitting hoods I've seen.

like vis and seibon? my only bitch with them is not having a real heat extractor hood, the only reason i even want an aftermarket hood is to vent heat and prevent air build up in the engine compartment at track speeds. what i REALLY want is a hood like this...well the center section anyway

The red car is probably using a spacer on the rear hinges or something to vent out hot air... (more common on 240sx's, rx7's etc).

This is the same hood that's on Jeff Owen's Special Projects car, it looks much better on his ITR in person, but I don't have very good pictures of his hood. The hood fits well, not as good as oem since it's a replica.

it would probably be smart to post pics of the actual fitment. as it sits this thread has hurt your business more than it's helped it

Here you go... Fitment is good. I remember that Jeff repositioned his fenders to help eliminate the gap, that's why the fitment is very tight on the pics of his ITR. So I would expect the fitment to be somewhere between the red ITR and Jeff's without tweaking the fenders.
