Default my gauge cluster and turn signals do not work

i have a 97 civic and for some reason on the other night on the way to work, my gauge cluster just died. The lights on it still work fine, just all of the needles died. The turn signals do not work

ANY CHANCE U JUST INSTALLED A NEW RADIO? HAD A SIMILAR SITUATION WITH THE ILLUMINATION WIRE GROUNDING OUT. JUST A THOUGHT

Click the test fuses link in my signature. Test the installed fuses for voltage using a test light. Visual inspection will miss some blown fuses. There's no sense in chasing other possibilities until you have conclusively ruled out blown fuses (#12 and #25; see fuse box diagrams in FAQs sticky).

his illumination wire was grounded out

to OP, faulty gauge cluster? try another.

When you installed your radio and then resurrected this dead thread did you wire up any illumination wires to the dimmer switch?

well ii brought a new gauge cluster still no results. lights will work in back ground but ii dont know how fast im goin or the temperature of my car or how much gas ii have. blinkers wont work. no clue what to do

I'd start by pulling the cluster then and checking for voltage readings at the wires on the plug.
