07 Civic LX nearly stalls
Hey guys, I recently purchased a used 07 Civic LX and have noticed something that has me slightly worried. I could just be paranoid but would like to know if this is normal.
After the car warms up and I've come to a complete stop I'll have it shifted into first gear with the clutch pressed all the way down. If I barely begin to touch the gas the RPMs will nearly drop to 0. Keep in mind the clutch is still pressed all the way and it seems really strange to me that RPMs would actually drop when it's given a little gas. This leads to me overcompensating and pressing down the gas a lot farther than I'd like to because I feel like I'm over-revving when starting to move. If this is just something I need to get used to I'd like to know. I've been driving stick for 8 years so hopefully I can rule out inexperience.
One thing that may be important is that the previous owner put an aftermarket intake and exhaust on the car. Thanks in advance for any help.
