Then you wonder why all you ITR guys cry when your cars are stolen. It's common courtesy to block out someone's plate # in a picture, but posting up a description of someone's car and the plate # on a message board is a little unethical I think.

 

If they dont know the state, what good is it?

And what stops a car thief from looking at your plate driving down the street? Your car probably passes 10,000 eyeballs on a 15min trip to the grocery store...play the odds, and how many trips to the grocery store does it take before a willing thief catches your plate #?

I understand the point, but I think youre overreacting a bit in this case...

I am not over reacting. Everyone on this board is here because they have an interest in hondas. Maybe 1 out of that 15,000 might recognize my car on the way to the store. As opposed to the 24,000 users we have on this board. Believe it or not, some of them are theives. I just think its common courtesy not to post someone's plate number.

If I didnt own an R, some might consider it parnoid? What does having an R have to do with this? Do you think your itr is better than any normal honda? Do you think ITR's are the only cars being stolen? I understand everyones' point on not knowing what state this girl is from and even people can see your plates when you are driving. This is a message board where info is easier to write down while you at a computer as opposed to driving. Call me paranoid or call me cautious. I dont care.

Whatever you say man...even by your own description...whats a theif going to do? Figure that since the show is in Atlanta, they can check up and down the east coast states for the plates JDM R.

 

There is probably a 99% chance your motor and brakes will end up in a civic someday. The civic will be far superior than your ITR.
